Hey Everyone!! I hope all of your weeks were as good as mine was. It's not like all of a sudden we're having tons of success, but this week was defiantly an improvement. My first week with Elder Ngeskebei was great. We get along great and he's super funny. Nothing to complain about. We had a cool experience this week. On Tuesday we received a call from an old investigator named Ana Ramirez. The missionaries stopped teaching her because she's super catholic and doesn't want to change. She called us because her niece is living with her now and she's a member of the church, but doesn't know anyone here. So we went over to her house to visit her. For sake of confidentiality we'll call her niece Sariah. Sariah is from Payson Utah and is 16 years old. She's living here with her aunt because she was bullied really bad in her school. So bad that she had to move down here to finish high school. We went over to their house to get to know her and to let her know about the times of church and everything like that. Two days later we went back with the seminary teacher of the district so she could meet him. It was super cool! I just feel so bad for her and want to help her out as much as possible. It would be so hard to be in her situation, so we're going to help her as much as we can. We also found the Familia Rivera again. I decided to knock at their house again to give them another shot and Mario (the dad) answered. We shared a little lesson with him about how God is his Father and that even though he's been inactive for a little while he always wants him to come back. We also have an appointment with the whole family tonight so we'll see what happens :) Also, we had a lesson this week with Ramon about the temple. He doesn't feel ready to go this month but we set a goal for him to go next month!! I'm so excited for him! Now we just need to get his family to church.... Anyway that's all for now. I love you all and hope you have an amazing week :) (But I doubt it will be as amazing as mine is going to be!!!) -Elder Anderson |
