Well, halfway through with this transfer and things are really starting to heat up. No really. It's HOT. We only have AC in our bedroom so when we go into the other room it's like walking into a sauna. But at least we always have hot water now : )
This week has been great. Both me and my companion have been focusing on trying to be more obedient and we've really seen a difference in not only how the work has gone, but in how we feel too.
Some more people randomly gave us food again this week so we were able to give it to Normalicia y Salvador. We also helped Salvador with building his house a little bit. It will be a really humble home, but it will be good for them.
On Friday we were by the canal and we passed this guy and I had the strongest impression that I should talk to him, but I ignored it and kept walking. But then I decided that I really should talk to him, so we turned around and chased him down. We caught up to him and talked to him. His name is Jose and he's from Chiapas, but he's here in Guaymas for work. All of his family is still down in Chiapas. When we got done talking to him I felt the spirit so strong like God was saying "Thank you for helping my child".
Also, on Friday we were sitting outside of a members house because we were going to eat there and this guy walked up to me and started talking to me in English. He told me his whole life story for like 40 minutes and then he showed us his house, which was one room filled with computer equipment. We invited him to church and wouldn't ya know it he showed up!!!! It was super crazy he said he really like it so we'll see what happens:)
These last two transfers I've gotten along with my companion really well. And it's not just because we have a lot in common because we're actually really different. It's because this transfer I've been "Tracking Positives and Ignoring Negatives". By keeping track of everything he does good and giving appreciation for it, and ignoring all of his shortcomings, I've been able to help him and I both improve ourselves these last few weeks. It's all thanks to the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Read it. It will change your life.
I love you all and I'm so grateful for this time I have to be a missionary here in Mexico. I love the people and I love the gospel and I never want to come home. Till next time:)
