This week we´ve worked really hard. The coolest thing that has happened this week was with our investigator Jose Luis. He talked to us in the street about a month ago. When he first talked to us he was dressed super cholo so I honestly didn´t want to talk with him but he was really sincere and told that he wanted to change so we told him we would pass by. Well we couldn´t find him for about 5 weeks but then we finally were able to meet with him. We taught him the first lesson and it went really well. He even came to church that first Sunday and he loved it. Both his parents are dead (he´s 28) but he has an aunt that's a member so he sat with her the whole time. Now we´re teaching him in her house and he´s learning SO fast. He´s gone about 2 weeks without drugs until this Saturday. When we went to get him for church on Sunday he was a little hungover and he smelled like alcohol. But we took him to church anyway. I gave him one of my shirts, pants, belt, tie, and those new black shoes dad just sent me (sorry he needs them more than me). He was so happy and loved the way he looks in it. After church we went by his house and had a little talk with him. He confessed that he had drank so we decided with him to go in and throw all of his drugs and alcohol away. He was super happy and ready to make changes. Right after that a friend of his came over and asked for some weed. Jose told him that he wasn´t doing that anymore because he had promised God that we would get baptized.
I know that the field is white and ready to harvest, we just have to put our part and God will do the rest. I love my mission and this gospel and the change it brings in people.
