Hey :) Let's see... This week went by fast. We really tried to focus on visiting the members in order to get references from them. But like always we just got the same old "I don't know anyone that you can visit". But this week we're going to try something new to get references. Last night we talked to this guy in the park. We always talk to people in the park, quiet people, mean people, crazy people.... but this guy was cool. Then he told us his whole life story. He crossed the border illegally when he was twelve. He's been deported a couple of times, but he just kept going back (shows how well border patrol is working). He lived in the states for twelve years. He now has 4 kids over there. He got deported back to Mexico again for pirating videos. Now he's working with the mafia to get back over, get his kids, and come back to Mexico. All of this and he's only 24 years old. Talking to people like this just makes me thankful for everything that I have in my life. And I have everything all thanks to the gospel. Which is why I'm out here serving a mission-to share what I have with other people. One last little thing, I was reading through my Dad's bible that he used on his mission and in the back he has a few little sayings written down. One that I really liked says "Alimenta su fe, y sus dudas se morirán de hambre" "Feed your faith, and your doubts will die of hunger". This really applies to me as a missionary because it's always really easy to doubt yourself and find things to complain about. But if I feed my faith by praying, reading the scriptures, and going out everyday and sharing the gospel all of my doubts and fears will fade away. I love this gospel and everything that it has given me in my life. For that I'm here in Mexico sharing it with these wonderful people.
