So, this week has definetly been a week of changes. On Wednesday we had a zone meeting and they anounced that all the rules that we previously had no longer apply. Now we only the rules that are in the missionary handbook. This is an awesome oppurtunity for us to show our new president that we can be responsible and obediente. This also mean that we can finally drink soda!!!!!!! I don't even really like soda but the coke here is amazing!! Haha the day they announced that we went and bought some nice glass bottles of coke. I can promise you I enjoyed every drop:) Also, we can knock doors now. Not all the time, but if we have 20 minutes between appointments we're allowed to knock. We did it for the first time on Thursday. I can't lie, it was really scary at first because we were in a really ghetto part of town, but after the first couple of doors it was really fun because you never knock what's going to happen. But my comp never got used to it and everytime I had to talk him into I. You could literally see his knees knock together and he'd start trembling so I had to do most of the talking. But it was really funny and we both got a good laugh out of it.
Friday was really tough because we walked around all day without any results. But later we realized it was a test of our diligence because on Saturday we had an awesome day with a ton of lessons. And to top it all off, on Sunday we had 9 investigators in church!!! Norma Alicia and her kids came. We also had a new family there, the dad's name is Eduardo and he's a cop, his wife's name is Araceli and they have 3 kids. She DID NOT want to come but her husband and us convinced her to come and she actually really enjoyed it. We also found a cool new investigator named Genar. He's a 55 year old Yaqui indian that lives up on the hillside in a 5x5 ft shack and he collects plastic in the street for a living. But he's really humble and he's really interested in the Book of Mormon.
Our President also wants us to focus our teaching on the Book of Mormon right now and so far we've had a lot of success with it. It's the best misionary we've got (besides me of course).
Well, it's time to head back into the oven so I love you all and hope you have a great week!!!!!!!!
