This week has been a real testimony builder. We had a lot of really cool spiritual experiences.
On Monday we had to drop a cool investigator we had named Laura because her husband doesn't want us to meet with her anymore. But we went by one last time and we left her with a Book of Mormon with our testimonies in it. Even though we can't keep teaching her, we can plant the seed.
Salvador finally found a good secure job, but now he isn't able to come to church. They still want to get baptized, but it isn't to happen for a couple of month so won't be here for it:(
We also had interviews with our President. It went really well and I can truly feel that he's an inspired man. I was feeling a little down about not being able to baptize Salvador and his family but Presidnent mentioned just a little side thought in our interview, that people have free agency and don't always get baptized, but by helping them we become changed. It really helped me not feel so bad.
In church on Sunday we had 6 investigators there!!! We're on fire;) Felix and Eresto came and they really enjoyed it. But the most important story of the week is Eduardo and Araceli and their family.
Last Saturday they came to church for the first time and they loved it. we invited them to a couple night in the church that was on Tuesday. When we visited with them on Wednesday it turns out that they went all by themselves!! We also visited them on Friday, we brought their son Eduardito a little toy and some candy for his birthday and he was so happy!!! After that we were able to talk with them for 2 hours and they kept telling us how happy they've been lately. On Sunday morning I got a phone call, I answered and the person asked "Are you guys awake yet??" and I said "ya.... Who is this?" and they said "You don't recongize me? I'm your disciple." haha. So I thought it was a missionary joking with me so I gave the phone to me comp. It turns out that it was Eduardo calling us to make sure we were going to be at church on time!!! Also, it turns out that their car broke that morning so they weren't going to come but Eduardo said "Satan must really not want us to go because our car has never broken so we decided to walk to church." They showed up on time, super hot and sweaty, but they came:) They stayed for all of church and loved it and then they invited us to eat at their house later that night. We showed up around 6 and ate some super good nachos. We were with their family for about 3 hours that night. Just talking about them and how much they've liked the church. At the end, we sang a hymn with them and then I invited them to be baptized....... AND THEY ACCEPTED!!!! I'm so excited to be able to see them turn this new page in their lives and find a better life!!! I love the opportunity I have to be a missionary!!! Love ya'll:)
