Lizbeth is still progressing well, even though she hasn't been able to come to church this past couple of weeks. I've really seen a change in her since we've started teaching her. On Saturday night every single house was having a party for the boxing match. They love that stuff here. Just walking in the street we couldn't help but see the whole fight because of all the TVs everywhere.
On Friday we had a tough day. We walked around all day long in the crazy Sonora sun without much success. We got to the house "tristes, consados, sin fe" I read a scripture that impacted me a lot.
D&C 122:7-9
7 And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.
8 The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?
9 Therefore, hold on thy way, and the priesthood shall remain with thee; for their bounds are set, they cannot pass. Thy days are known, and thy years shall not be numbered less; therefore, fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever.
This scripture gave me a lot of comfort to know that all of my trials will be for my good and make me a better person. But that I don't have to go through it alone. The Savior will always be there, at my side, to help me.
I can't wait to see you guys on Sunday!!! I love you all and hope you have a great week this week!!
