I had a great one and I hope you guys did too!!!
This week went A LOT better than last week. We did a fast so that the people of our area would be more receptive, and we have really been able to see a difference. Also, this week we've been able to apply the equation of (Obedience+Hard Work)*Trials=Blessings. I was reading through some old letters from home and I came across a letter from a good friend Nate King. In it he told me that the best tools I have at my disposal are Obedience and Hard-work. He said "Obey the smallest and simplest rules and you'll have the companionship of the Holy Ghost like you've never had it before. Everything is easier with the Spirit. You'll do better with the language, you'll find special people who are awaiting the Gospel, you'll be an inspired teacher, paving the way for the Holy Ghost to bring conversion to those you teach." Concerning hard work he said "Feeling down? Feeling homesick? Hate your comp? Hard work is the medicine. There's nothing better for helping you forget yourself and your sorrows than losing yourself in the work. The best feeling in the world is to go to bed at the end of the day knowing that you gave it your all that day and then some." This last week I was really able to put these two tools to the test amiss trying situations. They work:) That's how I came up with the formula. If we add Hard Work and Obedience together and then multiply it by the strength of our trials we'll receive blessings. (Obedience+Hard Work)*Trials=Blessings.
Another cool thing this week was that a family gave us "Thanksgiving Dinner" on Sunday Night. I taught them the tradition of sharing what we're grateful for before we eat. They loved it and every single one of the sisters ended up crying... and me. I would just like to say that I'm grateful for a loving family that supports me. I'm grateful for the example of hard work and love of my Dad. I'm grateful for the example of sacrifice and love of my Mom. I'm grateful for my sister Nathalie that always makes me laugh. I'm grateful for my sister Courtney always keeping me in check. I'm grateful for my brother Hudson always being my best friend. I'm grateful for my grandparents always keeping me well fed, and my Grandpa watching over me. I'm grateful for this amazing opportunity of two years to be able to serve the amazing people of Mexico and my Savior. I'm grateful for my Brother and Redeemer Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice for my faults. I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!!!!
