Hey everyone!!! So this was my last week in the MTC!!! I leave for Hermosillo on Monday!!! I can't believe how fast time has gone!! It feels like I was just dropped off at the MTC yesterday!!! Well, here's an overview of my week.
Haha.... I honestly don't remember what happened.... not much happened. I just had class all day everyday. I said goodbye to my Maestro Hermano Purnell. It has been so fun to have him as a teacher and I've learned so much!! Saying goodbye always sucks, but I can't wait to meet all of the wonderful people of Hermosillo!!! I'm also going to say goodbye to my other Maestro Hermana Daly tonight. She has been such a great teacher!!
As my time in the MTC comes to an end, it has led me to try and look back on all that has happened so far and all that I've learned. It's honestly really hard to try and remember stuff because it's all just blurred into one big experience. But I have honestly learned soooooo much. How to speak spanish and how to teach the gospel!! But even after all I've learned here I still don't feel like I'm prepared enough for Mexico. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited and I cannot wait to go!!! But I'm really nervous at the same time!! Because I know that the first couple of months I won't be able to understand hardly anything that they're saying..... AAHHHH!!!!! I'm just going to nod my head and say Si. But it's going to be a really good, humbling experience that I'm just going to have to learn from. I just hope I have a good trainer that will help me get back on my feet in Mexico!! I can't wait to let you all know how my first week in Mexico goes!!
Okay, one last thing. The mailing system down in Mexico is absolutely awful. If you ever want to send me something it will take a month to get down to me. So plan accordingly. Also, the mailing system is corrupt so a lot of packages and letters get stolen!!! So the only way to stop your package from getting stolen is to put Virgin Mary stickers on it. They esteem the Virgin Mary very highly so they won't touch it if she's on there. Just put the stickers anywhere on the package that they would be able to cut open and they won't touch it:)
I love you all and I can't wait to truly begin my adventure in Mexico!!! Hasta Luego!!!!
