This week has been awesome. Our main focus this week has been the Familia Mendez and helping them with building their house. But lets see....
On Monday night we learned how to make Tortillas de Harina that are super good. I'm still not good at making them but.... they taste good :) Oh ya, on Wednesday our new president came and visited our zone. He's really cool and I'm excited to get to know him and his wife. His wife doesn't speak Spanish so in the meeting she talked to us in English and we had to translate it for our companions. They are truly amazing people for giving up 3 years of their life's to serve the Lord. My heart goes out to our presidents wife because I know how frustrating it was in the beginning of my mission not knowing Spanish. But all of us missionaries will help them into this new phase of their life's.
Thanks to a little "blessing" in their lives, the Familia Mendez was able to buy the rest of the stuff to build their house so we've been helping them with that this week. It has been so much fun and they're awesome. Salvador is 55 but he's still working like a 25 year old. We taught him the word of wisdom on Thursday and at the end of the lesson he said "Well that's awesome because I'm already living it!!!" haha They're so prepared. T hey even fasted with us on Sunday, and they came to church early and helped clean up the chapel. It has been such an amazing experience to get to know them!!!
Last Sunday I was feeling really frustrated with the ward here because we don't get a lot of support from them. But we had a meeting with the Sister missionaries in our ward and we figured out a plan together to help the ward grow.
Well, for right now that's all. I love you and I hope you have an amazing week!!!
