6 Month Mark!
This week week went fast. We didn't have as good of numbers as last week but we had a few good lessons with people. I hit 6 months in the mission on Tuesday!! 6 months down, 2 years to go ;) At least that's what it feels like :) But honestly- it's crazy how fast it's going. It just makes me want to work harder to make the most of how little time I have here.
Last week on P Day I sprained my ankle. We were playing basketball and I landed on it wrong and heard a nasty pop. I stood up and limped to the side of the court, and then I passed out for a sec. I was super bummed because I thought that I wouldn't really be able to work that much this week because of how much pain I was in. But I figured that this is the Lord's work and that if he wants me to work than I'll be able to work. The next day we left to work like normal. My ankle hurt for the first part of the day, but after a while I forgot about it. It's still pretty swollen and everything, but It doesn't bug me anymore. Just a little testimony builder of how important this work is to the Lord :)
We taught this older lady in the street the other day. The whole time she just kept telling us how handsome we are. I couldn't stop laughing the whole lesson. It was a great confidence builder :) We also had another lesson with the Familia Rivera this week. They really want to get baptized. They just can't come to church right now. But Yuridia said that she's going to be able to next week and Mario the dad said that he would come too :) So we'll see what happens.
It's getting so hot here..... Haha but they all tell me that this is nothing compared to what's coming soooo..... ya. We'll see what happens.
I love this work. It's the best thing I've done in my life. I can truly say that this is the restored true church of Jesus Christ here on the earth, and that he lives. I have never felt so close to my Savior. I love you all and hope you have a great week :)
